HOW IT WORKS:
ONLINE APPLICATION:
NetBackups is an online BUT offsite backup system. - What this means is that you are backing up your data online on your secure storage area on OUR high quality servers. At the same time you are doing an offsite backup – taking your important data from you location and backing it up at our location.


NetBackups is a simple solution with simple operation. (4 Step Process):
Sign up and create your NetBackups Account Await approval of the account Accounts details are automatically sent to your registered email address on approval. You can now use your online NetBackups Account
Login with your user ID and password on our secure website and you have instant access to your backup folders and files. You can create folders and file your data as you require on our secure servers. Your data can be accessed from anywhere by your unique login via the internet at any time of the day or night. Only you can access the data with the unique login and encrypted password.
TERMS EXPLAINED:
NetVault- -    this is the server area where your personal data is stored. Your Netvault comprises of all your data sent to our servers and has the capacity that you have subscribed for.

NetShare- -    share certain folders on your NetVault with your friends and family. The easiest and convenient way to share common data files, photos, holiday list etc.

Encryption- -    NetBackups use a combination of 128bit Secure Server Layer (SSL) and Blow Fish Encryption to ensure that data stays safe and secure on transit and storage.

Flexible- -    Access your data from anywhere at anytime, from where ever in the world you are. All you need is a decent internet connection and your account access details. Use NetBackups service for synchronization of your data between different locations e.g. between branch office and head office OR your home and office PCs.

Sharing Files- -    Send A File or Share A Folder…. Send a file that is too large to email OR Share the contents of particular folders in your NetVault with others e.g. photos, events calendar etc.

DESKTOP APPLICATION:
NetApps – NetApps is the desktop application version of the online NetBackups. It works in a similar way to the online application BUT has a number of advantages and extra features:

STEP 1. Automatic Backup: No manual intervention is needed on a backup or file transfer procedure which has been correctly configured on the NetApps

STEP 2. Scheduling: The NetApps has a built in scheduler where you can specify the date and time when you want the backup to occur – and this will then automatically backup all your files on to our secure servers ate the pre-programmed time.

Advanced Use
FOR ADVANCED USE: (DESKTOP USE) (Follow above steps 1 – 4 then these additional steps)

STEP 5: Navigate to our download section - www.netbackups.co.ke/downloads

STEP 6: Download the Desktop application on your local PC (May require a system reboot)

STEP 7: Start the Desktop Application

STEP 8: Insert you access details (Username & Password)

STEP 9: Start configuring your automated backups (See manual)

STEP 10: Automated Backups are Ready for Use.

Safety
Some of the basic safety elements are built into the NetApps as well:
a. Security: 128 bit SSL Security during transmission and connection to online application
b. Blowfish encryption while files are being transferred to the secure servers and when the files are stored on the secure servers.
